Our Team

Our People Make the Difference

Our staff combines parent coaching and modeling to facilitate long-lasting behavior changes. The strategies we utilize focus on positive prevention measures scientifically proven to help reduce challenging behavior. Our programs range from intensive behavior therapy to parent training. You and your family will be paired with an expertly trained behavior management team to target the reduction of challenging behaviors such as tantrums, aggression, screaming, throwing, and self-injury.

Owner/Director, Behavior Analyst

Joey Harrington, M.A., BCBA

Joey has dedicated the last eighteen years to teaching families the Principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Joey started Behavior Resources because she is passionate about sharing her knowledge to successfully intervene upon challenging behaviors and promote new replacement behaviors. Joey holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology as well as a Master's degree in Human Behavior and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Philip Manibusan-Magaoay, M.ED., BCBA

Philip has an extensive background in Applied Behavior Analysis and over a decade of experience in the field. He began as behavior technician and worked his way to achieving his BCBA license. Philip has experience both in the home and school setting and with a wide range of client abilities. Philip is passionate about teaching families to effectively work with their children through the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.  Philip holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on the Foundations in Behavior Analysis. 

 BEHAVIOR Analyst

Marnie Williams, M.ED., BCBA

Marnie has dedicated the last five years to developing her knowledge in the field of Behavior Analysis. Over the course of her career Marnie has witnessed the positive impact of various behavior change techniques, but has decided to dedicate her career to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as it has proven to be the most effective in her experience. Marnie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology as well as a Master’s in Education, with a focus on ABA Curriculum and Instruction. Born and raised in Yolo county, Marnie is passionate about providing excellent quality ABA therapy in the community she grew up in.

Krystal Rivera, B.A. RBT

Krystal started working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in 2013 as a Behavior Tutor.  Soon thereafter she was promoted to a Lead Behavior Tutor and subsequently a Behavior Consultant.  Krystal has experience working with both children and adolescents and is passionate about teaching her client's parents the basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.  At Behavior Resources, Krystal oversees the Clinical and Administrative processes.

Yessi Becerra, B.S. RBT

Yessi joined the Behavior Resources team in 2018 after graduating from the University of California, Davis with a major in Human Development and a minor in Psychology. Yessi is a quick learner and is a natural with children. She easily develops a rapport with her clients and their families and is passionate about giving back to her community. Yessi has aspirations to return to school to earn her masters degree focusing her coursework in Human Development and Human Behavior. 

Lead Behavior Technician & Trainer

Sheila Mora, B.A. RBT

Sheila's background in peer mentorship has provided her with valuable skills and experiences that make her an excellent fit for her role as a lead behavior technician and staff trainer. Her warm and outgoing nature is a significant asset, allowing her to quickly build rapport with new families. At Behavior Resources, Sheila works in a variety of environments and is highly adaptable to each of her learner’s needs. Sheila holds a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development from San Jose State University in addition to a minor in Psychology.

Cecilia Tamayo, A.S. RBT

With energy and charisma Cecilia works diligently to promote meaningful and functional changes in her clients' lives. Cecilia graduated from Woodland Community College with an Associate in Science in Early Childhood Education. She boasts over fifteen years experience working in the classroom setting conducting ABA therapy with children on the Autism Spectrum. At Behavior Resources, she is a Registered Behavior Technician working in the home environment.

Ana Plaza, RBT

Ana is a Registered Behavior Technician that joined Behavior Resources in 2022. Ana's deep connection to her hometown fuels her commitment for providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in outlying service areas such as Colusa, Williams, Arbuckle and Dunnigan, CA. Ana is fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows her to support her patients and their families in their native tongue. At Behavior Resources, Ana has established a reputation for her playful and engaging approach to therapy. Ana is most passionate about fostering independence with her clients by teaching self-help skills like toileting and brushing teeth. 

REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN

Emma Kim, B.A.  RBT

Emma has spent many years working with children in a variety of settings. At Behavior Resources, she holds a position as a Registered Behavior Technician providing therapy to patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is enthusiastic about facilitating meaningful and long term behavior changes. Emma works diligently to find ways to capture her client's motivation to help them achieve their program goals. Emma graduated from UC Irvine with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in March of 2022.

David Abdalah, RBT

With a background in special education within the classroom setting, David brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role of Behavior Technician and Social Group Assistant. His warm and approachable attitude creates a welcoming environment during sessions, making clients naturally gravitate towards him. David joined Behavior Resources in 2023 and quickly established his passion for helping his clients navigate learning new social skills in a variety of environments.


REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN

Alondra Rodriguez, RBT

Alondra was raised in West Sacramento and holds a deep commitment to positively impacting her community. With care and consistency, Alondra forms strong bonds with her patients to help promote new skills. She has worked as a Registered Behavior Technician at Behavior Resources since 2023 and will be graduating from CSU Sacramento with her BA in Sociology in May 2024. Her ultimate goal is to become a paralegal and continue to serve the community she grew up in.

Zeenat Hamsafar, B.A. RBT

Zeenat is a dynamic addition to Behavior Resources. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at UC Davis in December 2023. Professionally, Zeenat has caringly supported individuals across a variety of settings including comforting pediatric patients and their families while in the hospital. Zeenat brings that same empathy and resilience to her role as a Registered Behavior Technician. Zeenat joined our team in 2023 and is enthusiastic about teaching appropriate replacement behaviors to her patients during her in-home and social skills group sessions.

Leanna Lujan, B.S. RBT

Leanna joined Behavior Resources with a background in management and effectively uses her experience to target goals while maintaining client engagement. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from CSU Sacramento in January 2024. Leanna's playful and gentle nature is a quality that is allows her to create a fun environment for therapy while building social motivation with her clients. At Behavior Resources, Leanna is a Registered Behavior Technician that works in the home and clinic environment.
